Shenandoah Nat’l Forest
Soo… we got there are 6:30am. Note to the wise: if you get there before the “gates open” you can drive on through and not pay a dime. Score. I wanted to be able to do my first photoshoot of the changing colors and after reading up for a bit, decided what kind of pictures I wanted. I caught the sunrise and then we proceeded to drive from the Front Royal entrance through to the Swift Gap one. Only some 60ish miles… but it took us about 8 hours. I’m not the quickest person to picturesquely travel with; “Zomg… pull over. See that tree? Ooo, pull over now! See that leaf! Wow… look at those flowers! I need to take a picture. Dood… did you see that deer?” You get the picture. Attached is a collage of some of the best of the best and then one of my favorites that was taken at Dead Hollow Falls (or something to that effect). There was a pro photographer taking a nice extended shot of the falls, and I would love to be able to do that but for some reason, I cant seem to make my camera do that anymore. I’m gonna have to read the book. Anyway, enjoy!
